Minutes:            Minutes of January 13th reviewed, accepted

Update from the pastor

Reconfiguration

We have not had an answer from Bishop Lennon following the meeting he had with the pastors of Hudson and Stow January 4th.

At the last transition committee the two tracks of religious education (traditional grade level and generations of faith) were discussed at great length.  The task force is recommending a blended program once the transition occurs and will follow up with more details.

Generations of Faith

The progress to date was discussed at great length. Much is being accomplished.

Concern was raised on the level of grades K and 1; are they adequately approached in the K-5 subgroup.  Part of the concern rose from the lack of a K program during the 10:30 this year.  Nancy identified a number of positive elements that were put into the K-5 subgroup of GofF.

There is a need as we continue for more disciplined attention to the role of table facilitators and as we grow this will settle in bettr.

Suggestion was raised for a possible July/August programming of Generations of Faith.

Lent

The February 16th Parish Lenten Evening Prayer and Discussion with focus on Small Faith Groups was emphasized.

St. Vincent de Paul

They have been doing well.  They will be speaking at all Masses next weekend.

New Business

Support of the Haitian missions was discussed.  Would it be possible to develop a letter writing exchange among students?  Two problems with this: Letters would have to be done in Creole or French.  Haiti does not have a good postal delivery system and thus the exchange would depend on frequency of travelers.  Fr. Butler will look into it. On the upcoming March 14th trip, nonprescription medicines are being collected.

Imago (presently using St. Bridget School in Maynard) is interested in the potential use of space at St. Isidore for a small kindergarten program.  Kathy will have them write up their specs and needs and will share that with Fr. Carreiro.

Next meeting                                      March 10th
