Parish Pastoral Council Meeting Minutes

May 13, 2010

Members present: Fr. Dave, Deacon Charlie Cornell, Nancy Buck, Charlie Corley, Marcia Melone, Brian Perrault, Sandy Morales

Members absent: Jason Crotty, Deacon Bob Brady

Also present: Rosario Rizzo (finance committee)

1.       Opened with evening prayer (Ascension Mass)

2.       Approval of minutes

a.       Minutes are normally available on the website

3.       Budget Update

a.       Committee met 2 weeks ago

                                                               i.      Paid off the loan; no large debt remaining

                                                             ii.      Money reserved for capital projects that were funded by parishoners

b.      On the table for FY11 budget

                                                               i.      More money for GOF

                                                             ii.      Seed money for the social committee

                                                            iii.      Youth Director 

c.       PPC recommends tabling the Youth Director until next year

                                                               i.      Salary is set by the diocese

                                                             ii.      No focused job description

                                                            iii.      Work with GOF and budget committee to develop plan

4.       Building committee met to plan capital projects

5.       It’s time to recruit new PPC members

a.       Charlie, Marcia and Brian are on the last year.

6.       Next meeting June 10

a.       Final meeting of the year
