MEETING MINUTES
St. Isidore Parish Pastoral Council
September 13, 2001

Minutes: Minutes of June 14th accepted.

Reflection: At the outset, and at several points during the meeting reflection and prayer flowed from the tragedy of September 11th. Appreciation was expressed for the response so quickly on Tuesday for the ecumenical prayer. Suggestions were offered for better means of communication to pass the word should sudden notice of activity surface in the future.

A review of the Archdiocesan Guidelines and Mission Statements

Excerpts from the Guidelines and a few copies of the Archdiocesan Synod's Mission Statement were distributed. Hoped that all can keep focus on the Archdiocese's plan even as we develop our own ways and priorities.

Review
The garden project was very well received. Produce continues to be distributed to those who need it.

Theology for a Summer's Eve was well attended. There has been much praise within the parish and beyond.

Update from the pastor

Noted that the Parish Finance Council would be addressing the parish on the weekend of September 23rd.

Noted that the Social Committee has plans for the Italian Night Oct 7th.

Noted that the Stewardship Committee is planning a Stewardship fair in October (details will be finalized at the September 20th meeting.)
