Minutes:            Minutes of April 11th accepted.

Update from the pastor

A dozen items touched briefly:  Newsletter for the summer will be coming out in a week or two.  Open Forum scheduled for May 19 at 9:15 a.m.  Some have asked that the activity of Voice of the Faithful in Wellesley be shared.  Good response for the upcoming May 22nd informational night for St. Vincent de Paul.  ESL training program scheduled for May 18th here.  Interest expressed for a forum for the unemployed.  Theology for a Summer’s Eve scheduled for St. Bernard’s in Concord in July.  We are planning a follow-up with a unit by Eileen Snow in August.  AIM is considering sponsoring a unit on Triduum and the Liturgical Year next March here at St. Isidore.  RCIA inquiry evening scheduled for June 5th.  PPC Election, postponed from May 18th will now be scheduled for June 8th-9th.  Finances have been weakened by a drop in the offertory of late; to be discussed at the PFC meeting Tuesday.

Discussion on these suggested that in the open forum May 19th to discuss the Archdiocesan scandal one or two of the PPC share the Voice of the Faithful experience.  If there is interest there might be encouragement then to work with the emerging West Concord votf.

Encouragement given for movement on the issue of a forum for the unemployed.

Concern spoken regarding the finances and encouragement (and sympathy) extended to the finance council

PPC Election

Mike Holt was congratulated for the recruiting for the nominations.  John Colonna-Romano will assist him in moving this forward in a timely manner for the June 8th-9th election.

Youth Ministry

John Slattery and Sharon McCann will invite Jim Flanagan and John Pepi to the June meeting at 8:00 p.m.  Due to the late start of this meeting the item was not discussed further.

Review of the meeting  “good”, “whirlwind”, suggestion that we note action items approved (e.g. open forum, votf, PPC election, unemployment forum, Jim Flanagan and John Pepi invited.)

Next meeting:                                    June 13 2002
