Election of new members to the PPC

            Time line briefly reviewed.

Reconfiguration of parishes

Bishop Allué met with pastors of the vicariate at the end of January.  He was optimistic regarding the process in this area.  He did indicate, however, the importance of our stating our case should we determine as a cluster that no further change is called for at this time.  Rosario will represent the PPC and Andrew Crosby, the PFC.  If there is any problem with their participation we will have others take their place.

Generations of Faith

We will be implementing this in the fall.  It will be an event-oriented paradigm with advance prep sessions and follow-up reflections.  It will be intergenerational.  Discussion addressed the risks and the opportunities of moving forward on this at this time.  We are in the process of developing a six year plan.  We will be explaining this briefly in the coming Newsletter and in greater detail in the following Newsletter.

New Business

The forthcoming movie on the Passion was noted.  The P.R. is suggesting a good bit of controversy.  It has been rated R (due to the violence) and thus we would not be thinking of this for children.  We are expecting a statement from the Archdiocesan Office for Interreligious Affairs.

The recent discussion of same sex marriages has raised real concerns on the part of parents on how to address many of the issues that are being tossed about in the media.  We will be waiting till after the political elements are resolved and then, in a quieter atmosphere we will see if some of the other issues can be shared and discussed in calmer arenas.

Microphones should be corrected by next Tuesday.  Dilemma on this raised the question of reviving the grounds and maintenance committee.

Pace of readings and introductions at liturgy is improving.
