St. Isidore Parish Pastoral Council
January 12, 2006

Evening Prayer
Minutes: Meeting of December 8th reviewed.
Our thanks for all who contributed to the many elements of the Christmas season.
Special thanks to those who produced the Epiphany Pageant (Pictures on display in the lobby.)
Parish Finance Council is planning a campaign in March.
Parish Pastoral Council Elections
Over the coming weeks a nominating committee is to begin looking to the spring election. With an early May election aimed for, a slate should be prepared by mid to late April; thus the committee should gather the names early April; thus February/March the PPC should formalize the process.
Census via relational groups
This continued to be a primary agenda item.
Explored activities where this is already ongoing: e.g. the Pageant, new parents in baptismal preparation, the garden, the process of welcoming newcomers (before reconfiguration), etc.
Looked to other areas e.g. collaborative sharing household tasks, etc.
Need to be specific; also need to bring these factors and experiences together in a manner where all can sense the census occuring.
Micah (The Metrowest Interfaith Congregations Acting for Hope)
Continues to be of interest; they include this relational process in their form of organizing. Might we learn from them?
New Business
Look to rewriting the Mission Statement. Present statement is more in the form of a collage of goals, etc. Can we get a mission statement with clearer focus in a sentence or two?
