PPC Minutes from 12/14/06

Garden Committee : Ed Reverdy spoke with Dave DiMasi and Doug Aylaian. They will guide anyone who is willing to take over responsibility of garden. A notice should be put in the bulletin. Also include info. In the Ministry Fair 2/3 &4. Ed will get info. From Dave.

Building and Grounds Committee: The Parish is in urgent need to put this committee together. Issues to attend to include ( but are not limited to) the well, leaks in the roof, leak in the Parish Hall, toilets in the rectory, Baptismal Font. We need to identify someone who is available and qualified to lead this : someone who can fix or organize to fix current problems as well as long range planning. Ask by word of mouth and from the Altar. Check with COA. Should include info at the Feb. ministry fair. Ed R. will speak with Dave Goulet about the info he was to obtain.

Youth Group – Movie night was a success. A small group attended A Dancers Christmas and enjoyed it. Thanks to Nancy for organizing it. ** We should put together a group of people who are willing to come up with activities instead of an organized youth group. Use GOF as a springboard. ( Building the Kingdom). Tap into archdiocese activities. Advertise Journey to Bethlehem next year.

Rose C. wanted to mention calls she had received from parishioners about the comments/jokes made by the visiting priest during Mass. Is he here permanently? Father should speak with him regarding the appropriateness of his words. Let the Parishioners know who he is and when he will be helping out. Guidelines may need to be set for him to follow. Should he be a back-up and not a regular for Masses ?

Meeting adjourned at 9:05 pm

Next meeting – Thursday January 11th at 7:30 pm

Respectfully submitted:

Kim Tocci
