Parish Pastoral Council Meeting Minutes - January 11, 2007Members in attendance: Fr. Dave, Dave Goulet, Laureen DeBenedetto, Sue Ormond, Carole Makary, Rose Colosi, Bill Sullivan, Ed Reverdy, Kim Tocci, Charlie Cornell, Jeff LaPlante, Cara Schomp Members Absent: Nancy Dome Evening Prayer – Led by Deacon Charlie Cornell Minutes – November and December minutes approved PPC minutes from 1/11/07 Building and Grounds Committee: Dave Goulet presented his overview and needs of the building and grounds committee ( see attached description of the Committee ) The roof is being looked at. Bob Norton is still working on the electrical. The lights in the p. lot are not working. Toilets in the rectory are all going to need work. Kitchen in hall was cleaned out by Henry Vanesse and Susan Reverdy. There was dust in everything because the floors had been re-done. A sign should be put up in the kitchen detailing the rules of the kitchen – trash, dishes, food etc. **Posters are needed for the upcoming ministry fair about the B&G committee. Dave Goulet to make the B&G poster and Sue Ormond to make the Garden Committee poster. Charlie will tell the stewardship Comm that the posters will be made. Henry Vanesse will wire the church all for speakers. Estimated ½ day to put the wires in and speakers up. Carole Makary to speak with Henry with the possibility of scouts helping with this project. Garden Committtee - ( see attached ) Poster for the ministry fair. Doug Aylaian has provided a framework for the garden responsibility. Set up groups ( families) to come in and plant, weed and harvest. Another possible opportunity for the scouts. Details to go through Carole Makary. Cara Schomp to speak with Ann Needle re: a newsletter for the parish. Youth Program – Kathy King is working on a Jan/ Feb activity. Is it possible to have a youth section to the bulletin to advertise any youth activities? Kids can contribute to the column along with listed activities. Include websites and links to other parish’s activites. Follow-up – Fr. Dave spoke with Fr. Lizio about jokes. He is out with pneumonia but plans to return. The company who makes the Parish family directory has contacted the parish and asked if there was interest. Perhaps next fall, with pic.s in time for Christmas. The company does all paperwork and legwork with no cost to the parish. Discussion regarding the “ situation “ at Christmas and running out of Eucharist. In the end, it was an unfortunate mistake. The Eucharistic Ministers need to be informed as to their responsibility in preparing the Eucharist for Mass.
