St. Isidore Parish Pastoral Council
May 10, 2007

Members Attending: Fr. Dave, Deacon Charlie Cornell, Bill Sullivan, Laureen DeBenedetto, Ed Reverdy, Dave Goulet, Cara Schomp, Rose Colosi, Jeff LaPlante

Members Absent: Nancy Dome, Carole Makary, Sue Ormond, Kim Tocci

Minutes

• Meetings of March and April, 2007 reviewed and minutes approved.

PPC Minutes from 5/10/2007.

Notes

Updated pictorial parish directory will begin in the fall.

Building & Grounds Committee is underway.

PPC Nominations and Election

• Date of election tentatively scheduled for weekend of June 2 & 3

  1. May need an extra week to secure candidates, in which case elections would be June 9 & 10.

• PPC Candidate forms will be in sacristy if needed.

• Roles & responsibilities for election fall on outgoing members, Rose, Jeff and Kim.

• Two candidates secure. Several parishioners nominated and will try to secure by this weekend.

• Newly elected members will join us, along with outgoing members at the June PPC meeting.

Garden Committee

• A few families volunteered to help with the garden.

• No committee formed.

• Will follow up with Doug A. and Dave D. as to status.

User’s Fee for Hall Use

• Letter will go out in June, followed by a meeting in September.

• User’s fee will begin next fiscal year beginning July, 2007.

Youth Group Discussion

• Nothing formal established.

• Cara would love to see Building God’s Kingdom service project offered through Generations of Faith continued each year as a “Youth Group” project.

• Other possible activities would be “Walk Through Bethlehem”, movie and fellowship night, etc.

PPC Focus for next year

• Ideas included:

  • Youth/Adult Education

  • Ministry of Greeters

  • Impact of Generations of Faith on Parish (what are we missing? what are we doing right?)

Meeting finished at 8:50 PM. Next meeting – June 14 @ 7:30 PM
