Pastoral Council
Elections – We
have decided at this point the best course of action is for Fr, Dave to appoint
the people who have agreed to run (Marcia Malone, Brian Perrault, Jack Waldie
and Charlie Corley). Fr. Dave will
call them and let them know
they have been appointed. All new members should be invited to the
November mtg. and the people finishing their term will be released.
Directory Pictures – Fr. Dave will contact Olan Mills to see if families who were unable
to get their photos taken may submit a picture for the directory,
Future agendas – Ed Reverdy will attempt
to get the agenda out the week before each PPC mtg. via email. This will also
serve as a meeting reminder. Good Luck, Ed!!
General Discussion - Going forward, the PPC
should discuss the Pastoral Planning Committee Report put out by the
Archdiocese, in detail. Topics for discussion may include: What can/should be
done at a Parish level, Looking at other models to help us function as a Parish
Community (faith community), taking ownership of your religion/responsibility:
both spiritually and practically, who is our parish and what are their needs,
in what ways should we stay independent and local vs. what we can share with
other communities.
Any
questions/suggestions can be discussed and posted on the St. Isidore website
bulletin board
Next
month we will welcome the new members and begin to discuss the report in more
detail. In Jan/Feb we should give “Pulpit experience” regarding the PPC and
perhaps open up a mtg. so parishioners can see what the PPC is all about.
Outgoing
