Stewardship Committee
Mission Statement

The mission of the Stewardship Committee is to promote and foster Christian stewardship, i.e., social justice in our homes, in our parish and in our community.

As a committee, we meet monthly during the school year, to assess and respond to stewardship needs. We respond by organizing groups that meet these needs, coordinate the workings of ministries, groups and committees within the parish, and provide leadership to set the direction for future stewardship activities. We participate by serving on other committees, Parish Ministries, and sub-committees.

Our committee is primarily focused on the time and talent aspects of stewardship. One example is the One-Time Ministry - a ministry dedicated to matching individuals with needs to those with the time and talent to help. This ministry has been successful in providing assistance to the parish for many projects which have "spruced up" the Parish environment. We are also responsible for preparing the Church for special events.

A very important role of the Stewardship committee is to coordinate the support of charitable organizations within the Parish. We often provide manpower and visibility within the parish for the needs of local food pantries and shelters. We take a personal role in supporting members of the parish who may need assistance at various times, including meals and Funeral hospitalities.

We view Stewardship as the giving back of a portion of our God given gifts for the benefit of fellow parishioners, the parish, and the general community. The ultimate goal is to bring our parish friends and members into a closer relationship with our Creator and each other.
