Update from the pastor to parish pastoral council 12 May 2005

Reconfiguration

            The Transition Committee has not met since February 2^nd. 

            Sr. Janet Eisner SND met with folks from the parish on May 9^th. (Fr. Butler, Deacon Charlie Cornell, Rose Colasi, Glenn Bunnell, Andy Crosby, Mary Henry, Nancy Dome, Anna Lopez.

            The meeting was relaxed and pleasant. We walked through the memoranda that had been sent, including the e-mail from John Sangermano. Her role was simply to listen, she would then report to her committee and submit a report to the archbishop.  She hoped for quick action.

Generations of Faith

            Generations of Faith continues well; an active round planned for May 13/15 with guest speaker/presenter Brother Mickie McGrath.

Confirmation

 Eighteen were confirmed at St. Michael’s in Hudson on May 7^th.  

First Eucharist

This was well done at Masses on the weekend of April 30 / May 1.

Baccalaureate at N R H S

For the second year in a row an ecumenical (Christian) service is being held at the high school 7 P.M. June 4^th. Fr. Butler will be preaching at it.  It is an effort initiated by Trinity Congregational in Bolton. Concern has been raised by some that it is not broader in scope, i.e. inter-faith.

Parish Pastoral Council Election

We have announced the PPC election transferred from June to September. We hope now to move on this soon.

St. Isidore Garden

The ground has been tilled. Initial planting will be held this Sunday; additional planting at the end of the month.

Apple Fest 2005

Ready to move for next fall. Scheduled for October 9^th 11:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
